Who we are
The Antioch Junior Woman’s Club (AJWC) is a dedicated philanthropic organization committed to strengthening Antioch and the surrounding communities. Through fundraising, volunteerism, and community partnerships, we focus our time, talents, and resources on initiatives that make a meaningful local impact.
Our members are women of all ages and backgrounds who share a common passion for service and friendship. Together, we plan engaging events, support local nonprofits, award scholarships, and lend a helping hand wherever there is a need.
Beyond the work we do, AJWC is a place to build lasting friendships, develop leadership skills, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
Membership is open to all women who want to give back and make a difference. We invite you to join us at a monthly meeting to learn more about how you can get involved and help us continue making a positive impact in our community.
What we do
Helping our community is more than just volunteering time — it’s about building connections, strengthening relationships, and creating a place where everyone feels supported and valued.
When we give back, we help meet real needs right here at home. Whether it’s supporting local families, funding scholarships, assisting seniors, organizing events, or partnering with other service groups, community involvement creates a ripple effect. One small act of kindness can impact dozens of lives.
Community service also brings people together. It bridges generations, backgrounds, and experiences. Working side by side toward a common goal builds friendships, trust, and a deeper sense of belonging. It reminds us that we are stronger together than we are alone.
Beyond the immediate impact, helping locally keeps resources circulating within the community. It supports schools, local organizations, small businesses, and families — ensuring our town continues to grow and thrive for future generations.
Most importantly, serving others gives purpose. It teaches compassion, leadership, and gratitude. It shows younger generations the value of stepping up and making a difference.
When we invest in our community, we invest in each other — and that is what truly makes a town feel like home.
